TeleVue was founded in 1977 by Al Nagler with the aim of developing high-quality optics for visual perception. TeleVue is mainly known for its eyepieces which are of very high quality, but also the barlow lenses from TeleVue are of excellent quality for both visual observation and the execution of astrophotography.
In addition, TeleVue also has a number of excellent reducers/flatteners which not only work well on their own telescopes, but also many other brands/types of telescopes.
By means of eyepieces with an enormously wide field of view, TeleVue wanted to give users the feeling “as if you were hanging in the room”. TeleVue has been very successful in this, for example with the Ethos series that took that concept very literally.
Thanks to the enormous field of view (Field Of View), it is literally as if you are hanging your head in space, you see stars on all sides!
With most regular eyepieces it is like looking through a mask.
In addition to these accessories, TeleVue also has a series of high-quality refractor telescopes which are known for their extremely high performance in the case of astrophotography. Often these also give a completely flat image of their own, so that no flatteners are needed anymore. This can be very useful and saves a few headaches when connecting the various parts!
