ZWO

ZWO is a world-renowned company focused on the development of innovative astrophotography products. They specialize in the production of CMOS cameras, smart astro imaging equipment and astrophotography accessories. The company was founded in November 2011 by Sam Wen, with headquarters in Suzhou, China.

Sam Wen is an amateur astronomer with a penchant for planetary imaging, and it was this interest that led him to create ZWO. Sam was unhappy with the planetary cameras available in 2011, which were mainly based on internet cameras. That’s why he created the world’s first dedicated planetary CMOS camera, the ASI130MM. This camera was a huge success and created a hungry market for ZWO products.
