Biological microscopes

Biological microscopes can be monocular or binocular. The biological microscope is used to view objects with incident light and with magnifications between about 10 × and about 1000 ×.

The limit for optical microscopes is approximately 2000 ×; higher magnifications are possible, but do not show more details.
